Continuing Legal Education (CLE)

Applying for CLE credits for attending substantive committee sessions.

(The SLC will seek CLE accreditation only for member states where registrants have expressed interest in CLE credits.)


Registration Policies

  • Discounted registration rates apply until Friday, June 9.
  • Online registration is available until Friday, July 7. After July 7, all registrations are handled on-site.
  • On-site registration opens at 7:30 a.m., Saturday, July 29.
  • Registrations must be submitted online.

Fees

  • Payment of registration fees for all meeting participants, except legislators and legislative staff, must be submitted with your registration.
  • Registration fees are non-transferable.

Cancellations

  • Registration cancellations must be in writing, sent by post or emailed to slcreginfo@csg.org, and received by the SLC by July 7.
  • Cancellations received after June 9 but before July 7 will be charged an administrative fee of $100.
  • Cancellations received after July 7 and no-shows are not eligible for a refund.

Housing Policies

  • A registration for the Annual Meeting must be submitted to secure discounted hotel room rates. A link to access discounted hotel rates will be sent to the email address submitted with the Annual Meeting registration.
  • You are responsible for making your hotel reservations. The SLC cannot guarantee hotel accommodations.
  • Reservations must be received by the hotel by June 9.
  • Guests with reservations at the Conference hotel, but not registered for the 71st Annual Meeting of the Southern Legislative Conference by July 7, will be charged the prevailing hotel rate for the length of their stay.
  • A deposit of one night's stay plus taxes is assessed for all reservations at the time of booking.
  • Telephone reservations are not accepted.
  • The SLC cannot block rooms in the Conference hotel for states or other organizations.

  • Verify your confirmation number.
  • Modify or cancel your reservation.
  • Inquire about hotel policies for cancellations and the refund for your reservation deposit.

Policy Positions

  • SLC Rules require that all proposed policy positions be submitted a minimum of 21 calendar days in advance of the Annual Meeting.
  • Proposed policy positions must be received in the Atlanta office by July 7.

General Guidelines

  • Opening and closing plenary sessions, SLC standing committees, and host-sponsored events are open to all registered attendees.
  • Attire for committee meetings is business casual.
  • Attire for family and guest activities is casual unless otherwise indicated.
  • The State Dinner is intended for guests age 18 and over. Business attire is suggested.
