The Will Rogers World Airport (OKC) is the primary commercial airport for Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas, located in the southwest corner of the City. Six major and five regional carriers serve the airport, providing nonstop flights between Oklahoma City and 26 other metropolitan areas.
The Oklahoma Host Committee has arranged for transportation to and from Will Rogers Airport.
A conference welcome desk will be located in the baggage claim area of the airport.
Buses between the airport and hotels will run continually on the following schedule:
Thursday-Friday, July 10-11: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.;
Saturday, July 12: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.; and
Tuesday, July 15: 5:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
No transportation will be provided to the airport after 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Transportation can be arranged after this time through Airport Express (405-681-3311). The cost is $20 for one person from the Sheraton or Renaissance Hotels.
Please bring appropriate child safety seats for all children under the age of six.
Other transportation services available at the Will Rogers World Airport are:
Taxis, located at the Transportation Plaza accessed from the baggage claim (lower) level; and
Rental Cars, available at Terminal and Off-Terminal Facilities.

Amtrak has a train station in downtown Oklahoma City, with daily service to Fort Worth, Texas and the nation's rail network. In Oklahoma City, the train arrives at the historic Santa Fe Depot at the front door of Bricktown, Oklahoma City's entertainment district, 200 yards from the hotels. Follow these directions to reach the site of the convention and hotels:
Coming from the east on I-40 West:
Take exit onto I-35S / I-40 W toward Amarillo
Continue for three miles and take exit 150C for South Robinson Avenue
Turn right onto South Robinson Avenue and continue for 1/4 mile
Turn right onto West Sheridan Avenue and continue for 1/10 mile
Arrive at the Renaissance & Sheraton at the corner of West Sheridan Avenue and North Broadway Avenue
Coming from the south on I-35 North:
At fork of I-35 and I-235, take I-235 N toward the State Capitol and Oklahoma Health Center
Take exit 126, on the left side of the highway, to I-40 W toward Amarillo
Continue for one mile and take exit 150C for South Robinson Avenue
Turn right onto South Robinson Avenue and continue for 1/4 mile
Turn right onto West Sheridan Avenue and continue for 1/10 mile
Arrive at the Renaissance & Sheraton at the corner of West Sheridan Avenue and North Broadway Avenue
Coming from the northeast on I-44 West:
At the intersection of I-44 and I-35, take exit onto I-35 S (on the left side of the highway)
Continue on I-35 S for 12 miles toward Amarillo
Take exit 150C for South Robinson Avenue
Turn right onto South Robinson Avenue and continue for 1/4 mile
Turn right onto West Sheridan Avenue and continue for 1/10 mile
Arrive at the Renaissance & Sheraton at the corner of West Sheridan Avenue and North Broadway Avenue
Coming from the Will Rogers World Airport (OKC):
Head out on Terminal Drive
After leaving the airport, Terminal Drive becomes South Meridian Avenue
Continue on South Meridian Avenue for one mile and get onto Airport Road / OK-152 E toward Downtown and I-44
Continue on Airport Road for one mile and take exit onto I-44 E toward Downtown and Tulsa
Continue on for 3 miles and take exit 120 B to merge onto I-40 E toward Fort Smith
Continue on for another 3 miles and take exit 150 A toward Walker Avenue
Merge onto SW 3rd Street and take immediate left onto South Walker Avenue
Continue for 1/2 miles and turn right onto West Sheridan Avenue
Drive straight for another 1/2 miles and arrive at the Renaissance & Sheraton at the corner of West Sheridan Avenue and North Broadway Avenue
The main loading and unloading location for all events and tours is on the north side of Sheridan Avenue, between the Renaissance Hotel and the Cox Convention Center. This is the north east side of the intersection of Sheridan and Broadway.
Transportation will be provided to nearby restaurants and entertainment venues pending vehicle availability. Drivers will be available according to the following schedule:
Thursday, July 10: 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.;
Friday-Monday, July 11-14: 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.; and
Tuesday, July 15: 5:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Transportation will not be provided after 10:00 p.m.
The main transportation request desk is located in the first floor lobby of the Cox Center.
A transportation desk will be located in the lobby of the Sheraton and the Renaissance Hotels as well.

Trolley services are available every day in the downtown area. Complimentary tickets, maps and schedules can be picked up at any of the transportation request desks. A roundtrip ride on the blue line takes approximately 25 minutes and includes stops in Bricktown, at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art and the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum.

» Change in Schedule! (2008 ONLY) This year's SLC Annual Meeting runs from Friday, July 11, through Tuesday, July 15. This is a change from our usual Saturday to Wednesday schedule.
» SLC Rules require that all proposed policy positions be submitted a minimum of 21 calendar days in advance of the Annual Meeting. For 2008, all proposed policy positions must be received in the Atlanta office by June 20.
» SLC Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, on the first floor of the Cox Convention Center.
» All publicized SLC committee sessions are open to all conferees regardless of formal committee appointments or affiliations; however, meal service can only be made available to appointed members of the specified committee in session.
» Dress for committee meetings is business casual. Dress for family and spouse activities is casual unless otherwise indicated. Dress for the State Dinner is business formal.
